Open workshop using earthquake damaged wood: ‘Small Stools’

Wood from cedar trees in Miamisanriku, Miyagi damaged by the earthquake is
processed locally into material for small stools.Participants finished off each piece by hand.
The intrinsic warmth of Minamisanriku cedar meant no more than a light sanding was needed to finish them off.
