Open workshop using earthquake damaged wood: ‘Wooden Horse Making’

Small wooden horses were made with wood from trees in Minamisanriku,
Miyagi damaged by the earthquake.Materials were provided by a lumber mill in Miyagi.
Leather and cloth were used for the mane, and thumbtacks for the eyes.
The workshop was open for all ages, from small children to adults.
