SOTOKOTO LOHAS School ‘Scrap cloth hot water bottle covers’

There is a huge range of fabric stored at the offices of fashion brand Sanyo. Until now,
fabric such as samples made for new products have lain redundant. cikolata designer Sachiyo Oishi teamed up with
SOTOKOTO LOHAS School to make hot water bottle covers, an environmentally friendly way to keep warm in winter.
Covers were decorated with eyes, nose, mouth and hair to make a face. Participants enjoyed making their own unique
cases which can also be used to hold A4 size papers when spring comes and the hotties are put away.
Proceeds from this workshop will be donated by Sanyo to the forestation group ‘more trees’.

■ Date : January 29, 2013 (Tue)

■Venue : Kirakusya / SOTOKOTO LOHAS School

SANYO

SANYO : http://www.sanyo-shokai.co.jp/csr

‘think.sanyo’ is the fundamental CSR policy that portrays the three corporate pillars; ‘truth, virtue,
beauty’. CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) in one important aspect of companies all over the world that merits attention.
Companies respond to the desires of consumers by creating products and services to fulfill their needs.
The profit they make is divided amongst employees, shareholders and the community through employment and dividends,
while the company strives to meet new demands from consumers.
In this respect it could be said that real CSR should be good, down-to-earth corporate practice itself,
in other words, the basis of economic activity. At Sanyo, we want to share this understanding of CSR with all our staff,
and everyone we interact with. Don’t be satisfied with meeting current demand, but look further, listen harder,
think more and act to create an ideal CSR structure. That is why we chose ‘think’. -‘think.sanyo’.
